LESSON PLAN IN ENTREP 10 (ENTREPRENEURSHIP INTEGRATION)

I. OBJECTIVE:

• Create a business name suitable for their "business."
• Discuss the relevance of the chosen business name.
• Appreciate the importance of the business name.

II. SUBJECT MATTER:  REGISTERING A BUSINESS

          References:

• Entreprenuership for Modern Business.  Camposano, Jorge A.  2nd ed, 2008.  pp.109-144.

III. PROCEDURE:

        A. Preliminary Procedure (Quiz or Review of previous lesson)

        B. Lesson Proper

              - Motivation ( Ask students series of questions: importance of a business name, why it is necessary to have a business name and why register the business name you created.)

        C. Presentation 

               - Registering a Business Name (Business Name, Register a Business Name)

        D. Activity

               - Allow students to group together (5-8 members per group)

               - Let them select a group leader for each group to facilitate their group discussion.

               - Ask each group to formulate a business name for their business (created).  Let each member for each group to participate in suggesting names and reasons why they should consider each of the suggested names.

               - Let each group write/list down their discussions.  Assign 20-30 minutes for the activity. And after 30 minutes, let each group present their discussions and selected name. 

              - Allow questions to be raised during each presentation regarding their selected name and whether their selected business name is relevant to the nature of their "business."

              - Each group will grade the other groups presentation; provided with criteria they also formulated beforehand.
